Hours & Directions

Arizona Model Railroading Society (AMRS) is located at the Adobe Mountain Railroad Park in northwest Phoenix. The purpose of the Society shall be to promote the hobby of model railroading as a pleasant, educational, leisure-time activity, encourage friendship among modelers of all ages and to educate the membership and the public about railroads in general and model railroading in particular.

The 44 acre park includes a large garden railroad, a club house, a covered patio for special events & swap meets, space for future buildings and displays and the Maricopa Live Steamers. The society encourages the building and operation of model railroad layouts in any scale or gauge for its members and exhibition throughout the state of Arizona. The AMRS is led by a dedicated board of directors, officers, superintendents and committees.

The 3000 square foot AMRS clubhouse, financed and built by its members opened in the fall of 2004. It is a testament to the society’s efforts to act on its goals and objectives. The clubhouse provides space for an N scale layout, a HO scale layout, meeting room, library, and workshop facilities. More about the club house can be found by selecting the "history" link.
